Virtual Library Workshop: November 18

The ArtCenter Library will be hosting a virtual workshop series, “How to Use the ArtCenter Library from the Comfort of Your Home" during the Fall 2020 term, on Wednesdays at 1pm on the following dates:

Week 10, Nov 18 – Looking for Inspiration? Check Out Our Digital and Print Magazine Collection

Please join us for our last Virtual Library Workshop of the term! The workshop will be a demonstration and Q & A on our Digital and Print Magazine Collection on Wednesday, November 18, Week 10 at 1pm. This workshop will showcase digital magazines from the Library's collection and ways to access them, as well as how to request available print magazines. The workshop will provide an overview of virtual ways to access e-magazine content, with a focus on online resources such as Lürzer's Archive, Shots, and the Vogue Archive. It will also cover several EBSCO databases, Extended Search techniques, as well as retrieving free online magazine content through print catalog records. You will learn different searching and browsing strategies to help with your research. If you are interested in digital or print magazines, this is the workshop for you!

These are informal workshops to help you learn about the resources available at the Library. No prior knowledge is necessary. Please note that the demonstration will be recorded; the Q & A will not. Open to all students, faculty and staff. The duration of the workshop will be anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour.
