Bloomsbury Design Library

The ArtCenter Library is excited to offer a new resource in design this summer: the Bloomsbury Design Library.

Providing cutting-edge coverage of design and crafts worldwide from 1500 BCE to the present, this database is a treasure trove of content. Alongside authoritative references and scholarly texts, the Bloomsbury Design Library offers a rich selection of museum object images, which are fully indexed and searchable.

Students and faculty alike: explore the history and context of influential design schools, as well as people, places, periods, and disciplines. Browse the extensive Encyclopedia of Design, read from over a hundred ebooks on the craft of design, peruse museum collections and exhibition archives, and explore exclusive lesson plans. Check out the design pages of key figures, including names such as William Morris, Isamu Noguchi, Charlotte Perriand, and Charles & Ray Eames.

The Bloomsbury Design Library is available from our Online Resources page, as well as our forthcoming mobile app. Have questions about content? Reach out to your liaison librarian for more information. For access issues, please email Chloe Noland.
