The ArtCenter Library invites you to the virtual event, Biodesign: Fermenting the Future. Join us on Friday, July 23rd at 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (PDT) to learn how to make your own symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY) and SCOBY leather from home.

Hosted by Product Student and Library Ambassador, Ozzy Alvarez, this event will be free and feature guest speaker Anastasia Bachykal, Multidisciplinary Designer & Producer. She received her BFA from ArtCenter with the Honors Award for Innovative Sustainability in 2019.

In addition, we will have Kristine Upesleja-Hoheisel, Innovative Materials: Consultant, Educator, Speaker, Innovative Materials Department at the FIDM Library and also an associated professor at ArtCenter where she developed a new class on “Wearables: Material Futures.”
